Thislife Online | Reviving the stones: how hope was built from rubble

Meet Gladys! She lives in Jim se Bos, a Cape Town community without running water or sanitation. Many of Gladys’ friends don’t get as far as high school due to poverty and other social challenges. But Gladys attended a maths club at a preschool called The Children’s Library, a shining light in the area,. Today she’s a top student in her school and keen to help the people in her community create better lives for themselves.

The school was built using rubble from the local dump by a brave missionary called Seung. ‘I just want to see these children be happy,’ he says. Meet Seung and his wife Joy, see their joys and their struggles, and prepare to be moved!

This is a story of love to motivate us all, whether we’re feeling good or bad about life’s challenges!
